Emergency Shelter

At Artemis Huron, we provide a safe, supportive emergency shelter for women and their children experiencing gender-based violence. Our 10-bed shelter is open 24/7 and always free of charge. We offer secure accommodations, basic necessities, and a warm, welcoming environment to help women begin rebuilding their lives.

Our shelter includes private bedrooms, shared living spaces, a children’s playroom, and a large backyard—creating a comfortable space to rest, heal, and connect with others.

While staying with us, women have access to a full range of support. We help evaluate safety, develop a plan, offer information and resources, and walk alongside you, so you’re not doing it alone.

Inside the shelter, our Women and Family Advocates also offer daily programs and support focused on healing, building skills, and empowering women to move forward. Whether it’s a quiet conversation or joining a group session, we meet you where you are.
