What Board Members Do
Provide Strategic Leadership
Help guide the vision and mission of Artemis Huron, ensuring we meet the needs of women and children impacted by violence.
Support Our Community Impact
Advocate for Artemis Huron within the community and help strengthen our partnerships to deliver meaningful services and programs.
Ensure Organizational Sustainability
Assist with governance, fundraising, and fostering relationships to sustain our work and growth.
Champion Social Justice
Work to challenge the systems, beliefs, and values that perpetuate gender-based violence and oppression.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking passionate individuals with diverse backgrounds and skills, including those with:
- Nonprofit leadership and governance experience
- Expertise in finance, legal, or policy work
- A commitment to social justice and gender equality
- Knowledge of community outreach, advocacy,
and systems navigation
We welcome applicants with lived experience as this is a vital form of knowledge. Your perspective and voice will be valued regardless of formal experience or credentials.
