Physical Donations
We’re so grateful for the incredible generosity of our community. Right now, Artemis Huron can only accept donations of new, unopened items. Because of limited space and resources, we aren’t able to accept used or opened items.
If you have gently used items you’d like to share, we encourage you to donate them to the Salvation Army, one of our valued community partners.

How To Leave A Legacy Gift
There are a few simple ways to leave a lasting impact:
- Include Artemis Huron in your will: You can designate a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder of your estate to support our work.
- Name Artemis Huron as a beneficiary: Add Artemis Huron as a beneficiary of your RRSP, RRIF, life insurance policy, or investment account.
- Give a gift of securities: Donating stocks or mutual funds is another way to maximize the impact of your gift.
Sample Language For Your Will
If you’re planning to include Artemis Huron in your will, here’s some sample wording you can share with your lawyer or advisor:

A Note About Tax Receipts
Tax receipts are issued for donations of $20 or more. As required by the CRA, receipts must be issued in the name of the true donor. (While we can’t issue tax receipts in someone else’s name, we’re happy to send a special acknowledgement letter to let them know a gift was made on their behalf.)
